This is fantastic. Apparently it featured in boing boing but, like a lot of good things on BB, I missed it in the noise. So I ended up finding it through pampelmoose.

A quote I keep coming back to

November 8th, 2008 · No Comments

Silent Light

October 8th, 2008 · No Comments

I saw Silent Light last night. Lovely to watch for the most part, although I wandered off a few times. The opening scene is stunning, though. One of those fantastic ‘how did they do that?’ cinematic moments. Have a look:

David Foster Wallace is dead

September 15th, 2008 · 5 Comments

David Foster Wallace is dead. He was my favourite writer. Both his prose and his non-fiction have a wit and intelligence that I’ve struggled to find in anyone else. I remember reading The Girl With Curious Hair and The Broom Of The System and A Supposedly Fun Thing… in the mid-nineties I guess, almost wide-mouthed [...]

I’ve just been listening to a friend’s last.fm playlist wirelessy through the iTouch plugged into the stereo while doing the washing up. [...]
