So I tried for translation, sorry for bugs mainly in tenses as I guess.:

Auto da Fé
Klub U Zoufalcu, Praha, 25.3.1993

I'm not a poet, without a lack of Seifert's lyricism,
anyway I'll try to describe this poem by myself.
There was dark smoke flowing out from the stage,
where as by wonder appeared blurred contours of four figures
into the flashes of colourfull blinking fireflies.
Mixture of ether and incense sticks made my eyes gently closing, turning to the star-shiny voice.
I was touching the washed tones tenderly,
while melting in the hiss of the Milky Way.
Pounding bass coloured all in to ocher tint.

As far as sound of this band, there is no reason for compare with anything else. Just open the gate of your brain and dive into the angelic music.
Honza Dedek

Cheers!

Thanks a millions! Absolutelly agree with Honza Dedek's review, ...Angelic! (wish I could experienced your live gigs...), in my oppinion it's incomparable to the rest of czech scene of that times, due to absolutelly different sound, sad thing you've never made a release. Ofcourse I'll send you the translation, but as you can see my english isn't as good so I apologize in advance, but I hope it'll helps you a little bit. If there is any chance to hear more I'd be more than happy, as I really like it. Sounds much more impressive than all that todays so called indies/shoegazing/amb.. bands.
Occassionaly, I'll take a sight in library, as I suppose there must be more articles in Rock&Pop mag with your band, (I've listed only 1993 issues), if I find more, I'll send you back.
Thank you for your kindness, I'll send the translation soon.

Ps: Whats the surname of first vocalist Theresa, didn't she later guested on the Colorfactory albums?

Pps: I live right by the Plzenska st. :)

Thank you for those! Good memories. My Czech is a bit rusty, but I understand a bit. As a massive favour, could you translate the concert review for me if you get a chance?

I've uploaded 4 songs. <a href="http://meltingman.co.uk/music/Wanting.mp3" rel="nofollow">This one</a> and <a href="http://meltingman.co.uk/music/Step_Inside.mp3" rel="nofollow">this one</a> were demos I recorded between the 2 different line-ups of Auto Da Fé.

<a href="http://meltingman.co.uk/music/Later.mp3" rel="nofollow">This one</a> and <a href="http://meltingman.co.uk/music/Where_do_we_go_.mp3" rel="nofollow">this one</a> were the original Rubicon demos.

For completeness, there are 2 early songs that I've got on cassette somewhere that were recorded with the first line-up of Auto da Fé (me, Theresa and Honza Muchow on bass). I'll upload those when I get a chance to turn them into mp3s. There were also 2 songs that were recorded with the 2nd line-up of Auto da Fé (me, Petr, Kuba and Helena) . They were probably our best recordings, but I don't have a copy of them. :(

Hi Steve!
Thank you for your reply. Ofcourse I'll send you the pictures. These are: an interview with you and the band, a short corner review of your gig from 25.3.1993 (describing you as divine music:) and one mention of your Rubicon demo in article about the scene, all the articles are by Honza D?dek.

Sorry for the bug at my side, I've no cut-outs but photographies of cut-outs to be correct, so some are rather blurry, but all is readable (if you dont mind this). So I'll send you this stuff and occassionaly, as I get to the library, I can try to take it again better.

Thank you for your favor, I'm huge fan of czech early 90's scene but I didn't experienced this times as I'm younger. So it was realy nice surprise to found info about your project at last.fm.

Hi Martin,

Thank you so much! That's the nicest comment I've ever had.

We didn't record very much other than a couple of songs on a 4-track. And they didn't turn out very well... :( The mp3s on last.fm are things I did myself after the band, but I'll collect everything I have and email them to you.

In return I'd love to see the cut-outs. Is there any chance you could scan them (or just a phone pic would be great)?

Give my love to Praha.

Hi Steve,
I just wanted to kindly ask you, if there is any chance to get more Auto Da Fé mp3s, as I have no active account at last.fm. Your music is awesome, i still have some short cutouts from old R&P magazines about your band. Hope it don't mind contacting you via this way.

Greetings from Czechia

Hi,

I hope it’s alright that I’m contacting you…

I’m working with the Next Generation Talent programme. We’ve just released some research that I’m wondering if you might be interested in? We’ve looked into young people’s post-Uni plans and found that many are looking to advertising, marketing and other creative industries over banking and finance due to the recession. Would it be alright to send along some stats?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQoNXINI6to

Please let me know if I can pass anything on. I’ve put a bit about the Next Generation Talent programme below my name. We can be found on Twitter at twitter.com/nextgentalent

Thanks so much for your time.

Kind regards

Anne

P.S. If you don’t want to be contacted by me or NextGenerationTalent.co.uk in the future, just give me a shout and I’ll take you off our list.

Following a hugely successful competition in 2008, Panasonic is reviving the Next Generation Talent (http://nextgenerationtalent.co.uk) competition for 2009.

Next Generation Talent, sponsored by Panasonic, offers students a chance to win an ad spot on national television, a two-week work experience placement with one of Panasonic’s creative agencies and a full portfolio review just for creating a sample video ad for the Panasonic Viera home hub television.

All entries to Next Generation Talent will be judged by a group of bloggers and professionals in the creative industries after which time the finalists will be turned over to a public vote. A winner will be announced 18th September 2009.
