Auto da Fé
Klub U Zoufalcu, Praha, 25.3.1993

I’m not a poet, without a lack of Seifert’s lyricism,
anyway I’ll try to describe this poem by myself.
There was dark smoke flowing out from the stage,
where as by wonder appeared blurred contours of four figures
into the flashes of colourfull blinking fireflies.
Mixture of ether and incense sticks made my eyes gently closing, turning to the star-shiny voice.
I was touching the washed tones tenderly,
while melting in the hiss of the Milky Way.
Pounding bass coloured all in to ocher tint.

As far as sound of this band, there is no reason for compare with anything else. Just open the gate of your brain and dive into the angelic music.

I’ve uploaded 4 songs. This one and this one were demos I recorded between the 2 different line-ups of Auto Da Fé.

This one and this one were the original Rubicon demos.

For completeness, there are 2 early songs that I’ve got on cassette somewhere that were recorded with the first line-up of Auto da Fé (me, Theresa and Honza Muchow on bass). I’ll upload those when I get a chance to turn them into mp3s. There were also 2 songs that were recorded with the 2nd line-up of Auto da Fé (me, Petr, Kuba and Helena) . They were probably our best recordings, but I don’t have a copy of them.

Sorry for the bug at my side, I’ve no cut-outs but photographies of cut-outs to be correct, so some are rather blurry, but all is readable (if you dont mind this). So I’ll send you this stuff and occassionaly, as I get to the library, I can try to take it again better.

Thank you for your favor, I’m huge fan of czech early 90′s scene but I didn’t experienced this times as I’m younger. So it was realy nice surprise to found info about your project at last.fm.

We didn’t record very much other than a couple of songs on a 4-track. And they didn’t turn out very well… The mp3s on last.fm are things I did myself after the band, but I’ll collect everything I have and email them to you.

In return I’d love to see the cut-outs. Is there any chance you could scan them (or just a phone pic would be great)?
